It has been over a year since I last wrote on my blog-BUT I have had lots of changes in my life. Especially in terms of the relationship stakes-endings and new beginnings. Since April 2016 I have worked on developing my POETRY, SPOKEN WORD PERFORMANCES both as a one woman show and with my co-performer JOAN ELLIS.
My one woman show has included performing in Bournemouth/Poole, Southsea at the Front Room, Tongues and Grooves, Portsmouth, Wight Words, Newport and the ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL 2016 and 2017 in the newly established pulpit. With Sue Bevan as 2 OLD BAGS we performed at the Wandsworth festival -such mayhem and creative chaos packed within 1 hour. Most of my shows have been with Joan Ellis, writer and performer of exceptional skills.

Our 2016 show was Them 2-navy knickers and nicked tv's. Our 2017 show is Them 2- fake fur, false teeth and true love.
Although we have worked in very different professions-Joan within the advertising world as a copy writer and myself as a community based youth worker we have strong connections with our upbringing and seeing the dysfunctional aspects of our childhoods. Our performances intertwine seamlessly with humour, pathos, craziness and imagination.
